Tips For Improvement?

Postby ICSTrey » Sat Aug 25, 2018 7:52 pm

I've wanted to get back into editing AMVs, but the last big project I did was years ago, and it was pretty basic.

I want to ask some of you if you would review this and give me some tips to improve my videos, because that kind of thing drives me creatively. It gives me a lot to think about and try, and it would just be very helpful! (Looking specifically for constructive criticisms, rather than personal tastes, please.)

Actually, this was really good. Your lip-synch work is outstanding. Much better than mine, and that's after several years in the hobby. I think this would easily be a con favorite if you sent it in. The editing towards the end isn't quite tight, and the beginning and ending could use more set up. They're too abrupt, so it felt like something out of AMV Hell or 7.53 at first. Giving it a more cohesive, total-video feel would make it really stand on its own.

Good comedy video, with good technique, using an old source.
