I found some gorgeous images of NieA on a Google search that I felt like sharing. One is a screencap from the series that greatly increases my desire to get the rest of the series (I love that picture; her expression, the sky in the background, the lighting... it's just breathtaking), and the other is an oekaki fan-art of NieA that I really like.

I love her expression. She looks like she's about to say something, and the anticipation of what is intriging to me.

I havent watched the anime, nor know who she is, but she looks ..cool.

The anime is NieA_7 (NieA Under 7). It focuses on two primary characters, Mayuko (a quiet self-supporting student who works several part-time jobs to put herself through cram school, including one at a bathhouse where she gets room and board in lieu of pay), and NieA (a hyperactive food-obsessed alien who lives in Mayuko's closet, bums off her food, and build flying saucers out of junk in her spare time). It takes place in an alternate-reality Japan where aliens crashed onto Earth and assimilated themselves into society. It's a rather interesting series made by many of the same people who worked on Serial Experiments: Lain, although it's very, VERY different in style and tone. It's more of a comedy-drama and I really like it thus far myself.
