Bizarre error...

Post by Lord Rae » Thu Mar 27, 2003 7:39 pm

I searched around.. found no mention of this problem... I also consulted Quu... who said I'm at the stage where everything should work.
I took a screenshot of my error message when I click on the avs file..
http://www.phoenixamv.com/temp/error.jpg

I'm using the amvapp (and I've redownloaded and reinstalled the amvapp and the advance avs pack).

I got my m2v file fine from smartripper (everything but the info and the m2v I deleted... I then opened it in dvd2avi and set my settings (like the guide exactly). I then saved the project file (I've done this several times since the error first arose so its not a one time shot).

so I take my d2v file that I've got now and set it up proper
Everything after that is included in the image. both the avs version of virtual dub and the regular version do not recognize the file. I tried to see if I could skip this using VFAPI (at the behest of Quu and since I have a dv500) but that also gives me an error.

so... what else do you all need to help me out? I'm begging ya...

hmmm computer specs might help.
Windows XP
AMD Athlon 2000+
1 gig ddr
my dvd rom is a Pioneer.
video card is a Matrox G550

I don't think anything else would affect it but if its neccessary I can post full computer specs...

It's not that bizarre an error - in fact it comes up all the time.

Delete file dvd2avi.ini

Remake d2v project file (with either dvd2avi 1.76 or 1.86)

Try again.
