What is an AMV you ask?Eastern Shore Fan Con AMV (Anime Music Video) contest, along with the actual Con, with be on Saturday April 5th, 2014. If your in the area or don't mind making a trip out of it , then come check us out
An Animation music video (AMV) is a music video consisting of clips from one or more animations set to an audio track (often songs or movie/show trailer audio); the term usually refers to fan-made unofficial videos.
Eastern Shore Fan Con would like you to attend and have fun with us. Especially with the AMV Contest.

How to participate?
The rules are simple:
1.) You must create the video yourself; do not download something from Youtube.com or any other site.
2.) The video should not exceed 5 minutes. When you finish your AMV, please bring your AMV on a flash drive in an MPEG, AVI, or MOV format. Please do not expect us to play your video from YouTube.com.
3.) Participants may only submit 1 AMV.
4.) Participants should try and avoid videogame gameplay footage. Videogame cut-scenes and videogame action sequences will be allowed.
5.) If the AMV’s music contains explicit lyrics please mark as “EXPLICIT” or use clean songs or clean version of songs for your AMV’s. Remember we do have children attending the con as well.
6.) Participants must be present at the Con to enter the AMV contest. Thank you!
This year, the AMV Contest Coordinator would like to get a participant count prior to Fan Con, therefore we would like you to email the following to the AMV Contest Coordinator: 1. Your Name, 2. Title of the Video, and 3. possible Length of Video. You can email these to Da’Vone Freeman at dacell.life@yahoo.com by March 31, 2014.Categories
Overall – Best use of artist vision and complex style.
Action/Adventure – Best use of movement and pace, the videos that really gets yours and our hearts pumping.
Drama/Romance – Try to make us feel the love… or grab the closest box of tissues. It’s up to you.
Upbeat/Dance – Make us want to get up and dance or just make our day a little bit brighter.
Comedy/Parody – It is possible to make a funny AMV without using AMV Hells. Parody songs are actually really funny. Your job is to find them.
Horror – Make us scream, make us gasp. Try to scare us with your AMV.

Good luck with that rule. Don't worry that the largest cons in the country couldn't pull off a good contest like that, you guys are probably special.
