anyway, was wondering if anyone round here has heard of the group Darkane. they sound pretty much like a heavy Fear Factory, and I swear the lead singer was Burton himself, but they're from Sweden.

I've heard some Darkane from back when they were on War; haven't heard from them since they moved up in the world. Mostly out of laziness and being poor.
Also, there's like a hundred "new wave of thrash metal" bands from Scandanavia out now; Dew-Scented, The Defaced, and the like. Some of them are pretty good, but overall it reminds me of the Gothenburg overkill we had a few years ago when everyone and their brother wanted to sound just like _The Jester Race_.
Meshuggah and The Haunted are succeeding so trends will be trends, I guess....atleast among record labels.

Shin Hatsubai is a Premiere-free studio. Insomni-Ack is habitually worthless.
