Windows Movie Maker does not work for me at all?HELP

Post by ssjvegitto » Tue Mar 11, 2003 9:53 pm

Whenever I open it and try to look at a video transition or effect the whole thing closes for no apparent reason. Does anyone have any advice or solutions for this problem?

I am referring to Windows Movie Maker 2. And this problem occurs with every type of video I try to use divx, wmp, etc.

First, try converting the DivX files into another format like HuffYUV.

Second, what is "wmp"? Windows Media Player?

sorry, err.. i never used WMM2 b4 so i dunno what might b causing ur problem. but get more RAM, that's my only opinion. i have 512 DDR SDRAM in my comp but it still goes slow when i use Adobe Premiere. :?

i'm planning on experimenting, by maxing out my RAM modules when i get the chance, or i might just add 128/256 more RAM.

and might i add, if u plan on editing with Premiere anytime soon, get some more HDD space, or a second HDD, with like 40 more GBs. i guess it all depends on how much footage u have on ur comp..
