Is Argentosama a series worth checking out?
I saw it recently on a trip to Best Buys to pick up Excel Saga Vol. 5. It looks interesting, and I'm happy to see that Bandai is starting to do what AD Vision does with packaging 5 episodes onto a DVD. The artwork of the cover art looks pretty good and the pics they have on the back look interesting. Needless to say it's gotten my attention, but I'm a little embarassed to say that I don't know all that much about it. So if anyone that has seen it before or have some reliable opinions tell me is it worth purchasing? Thanks.

Argento Soma is okay, I guess. Bandai sent me a free copy of the first DVD, and after watching it, I can't call myself overly enthralled, but maybe things start picking up plot wise later on, it seemed to be building toward something but I just wasn't into the characters by the end of DVD 1 to care.

Well I went ahead and got it anyways after seeing it's trailer, and I liked it quite a bit. But it's true the main character doesn't have the greatest of personalities. He seems to be terminally angsty and gets angry easily. Reminds me of Squall and Heero Yuy.
If it weren't for how pretty he looks, I absolutely wouldn't be able to stand him. I found myself lots more interested in Harriet. Maybe it's also because I was watching Argento Soma after watching the Iron Giant, and I saw a bit of similarity there between the youngest characters protecting their respective iron giants.
