I would like to share with you a recent french show from the channel Canal+.
It's called "Bref" (you can translate it by "Anyway").
It has started at the beginning of September 2011 and it has become popular very very quickly.

The facebook page has already more than 1 millions of fans.

So I was curious if the show could reach the non-french speaking people as well (the humour is somewhat different between cultures ^^). I found a translation of the first episode on internet, ask Ileia to check it and correct it.

Then I upload the first episode including the english subtitles on a youtube channel I just created: MakeItBref.

For now you can only watch the video from this link because I want to try to keep it longer as possible on youtube. Indeed Canal+ is trying to delete the non-official videos from youtube. They prefer that users come on their website and watch the adverts first. But apparently some other people succeed to upload "Bref" video on youtube.

I think I'll make my channel more available later.

But first I want to check if it's worth to translate the other episodes or not. So Org is a kind of beta-community

I watch Gossip Girl and Vampire Diaries on youtube, but what the girl does is she cuts each episode down into 24 (or so) parts, each 2 minutes or less =3. Then makes a bunch and bunch of playlists for everything. She does a couple shows, think about 5. This is the only way I have seen so far on youtube where it works. This is her second account though because people flammed her for nudity..

It's a cute show, but he definitely speaks faster than I can always follow (I read French far better than I can listen to it or speak it, or write it ).

I'd say it would be worth subbing if you can find a site to host it.

I took French in college, but I can only remember "merde."
I'll check it out though as I'm always interested in shows from other countries
