Due to the drastic shift in focus for this coming year's convention, You-Ma-Con 2011 will be hosting the first annual Cartoon Exclusive Music Video Contest. I know this may come as a shock for those of you who have been looking forward to entering you nasty Anime and Live Action videos, but we don't need that noise anymore! That's right, we need cartoons! American made of course!
So fire up your editing program and start working on the next cartoon music video masterpiece such as Double Rainbow or Epic Pony Video! We wanna see them!
Our judging system this year will be different as well. If you submit a video using the featured cartoon of the month (April's is My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic) you will get a 50 point boost over the competition on each of the judges sheets. Also, we will take all the videos submitted from each month and give out an award for the best video submitted each month! Finally, at the con we will let the audience decide which of the award winning videos from each month is the best overall! Oh, and those of you submitting videos not using the cartoon of the month don't fret, we'll still be giving out the usual consolation awards for Drama, Action, ect....
All the rest of the rules are your standard fare that you'd expect. However due to the focus shift we will no long be requiring only certain submission formats. That's just too hard for our new focus. So send whatever codec or format you like and we'll do all the work on our end! Just remember, You-Ma-Con is a convention for Mothers and their children, so none of that nasty Anime, Live Action, Violence, Nudity, Sexual Content, Cursing, ect. We're looking for good clean videos here!

Actually, in all honesty, the real rules will be up sometime in June. And we really wouldn't mind getting american cartoon videos. I just love pony vids!
