a) the most irritating anime theme song
b) the best anime theme song
c) the funniest anime theme song

you have ever heard?

for me:
a) Intro to Kenshin
b) Hellsing/ Trigun
c) Ending to Kenshin "passionate laady, ah gimme your luve"/ or berserk intro. japanese people singing english with no background is just humorous haha

I prefer Cruel Angels Thesis, one of my favorites, also the song "Moon" from Turn A Gundam.

And just a side note, the OST to Read Or Die is the best

American DBZ song is the most annoying. Rock the Dragon doesn't provide the vocal "oomph" that hironobu kageyama does and just repeats itself over and over.

I'm not too sure about best opening and ending themes since there are lots of good ones. I'll go with Inner Universe, the opening theme of Ghost in the Shell - Stand Alone Complex. It was composed by yoko kanno and sung by Origa (Russian singer). And anna ni issho datta no ni the Ending theme for Gundam Seed. It was composed by yuki kajiura as part of the See-Saw group.

best would be ..hack//sign Key of the Twilight. It is the best opening song I have ever heard and the music in that series is good anyway.

Worst is the Kenshin TV series opening 'It's gonna rain'. I hate that one. I liked Freckles a lot more.
