Yeah, i got to say that there isnt a lot of blacks in anime, but it is mostly go with the flow. You're an anime designer, and u look at the other animes before u as a basis and then make ur own. The thought of involving other colors into their story might have skiped their minds because they dont think about it. Though I have seen some animes with other kinds of ppl in them that r not all that bad.

could you rephrase that maybe with some periods in there or capitals?

I saw Cowboy Bebop was pretty diverse. Alot of races in there.

Um, shouldn't the question be "Are certain animes racist?" not "Is anime racist"

Its too broad a question to blame all of anime for a horrible Dragonball Z character. Its one thing to know the bias of the original of the show you are watching, its another to hold every show to that one standard. Hell the entire "Is anime racist?" is sort of a racist question isn't it (sort of gives the idea that every japanesse animation has racist overtones in it).

Hmm well racist is beleiving another race to be inferior for example the Japanese did experiments on chinese and koreans to try to prove they(the japs) were superior. Bigoted is different for example I will not own a japanese or korean car I am bigoted against them. Sterotyping is unfair but unfortunately is not always incorrect.

Exactly what I was saying! This whole question by it's definition is stereotyping all anime as similar in order to analyze it.
And by the way, since when were Chinese and Korean races?
