personally im tired of when Ash is always like "hold on let me get my Pokedex" on just about everything, like he never seen it in National Geographic.

Yeah, he always gets his Pokedex out on pokemon he's already seen before!

Ojamajo Doremi/Magical Doremi (original/dub). XD They have this spell where they can make big things using all their magic at once. It's called Perfect Harmony in the dub and guess what? It rhymes.

I also wanted to say that in the dub of Doremi all their spells rhyme. Cute but again it seems that all witches that we see on tv here in the states have to have rhyming incantations.

I think it has something to do with folklore, and it's wide spread too, spells in old german fairie tales and such usually rhyme too.

That makes a lot of sense. I have noticed in a fair few episodes of Inuyasha when he gets out his sword to use it he'll scream, "Tetsaiga" for no apparent reason. Or, at least I don't think there is a reason. He could say something cooler like he does sometimes.

I was just saying that he'll scream it out right before attacking someone or something for again, no apparent reason.

Heres a good one.... right before Luffy using a particular attack, he yells GUM! GUM!, but when you think about it, he really doesnt have to seeing how he can just stretch when he wants to by throwing himself.
