Having the sheer amount of editing essentials I have collected over the past 9 years, thinking of all of the money I spent so I could produce a half-way decent video, the countless hours planing, the post production time, the editing time, making the final product from a lump of nearly uncompressed files........
Then realizing who I am.
Then realizing who I am.

Oh god...after 3 mo. of working on a video I opened up my trusty Vegas...and nothing was there.
My husband deleted EVERYTHING. He said it was an accident, but I still have my doubts. He's lucky he's still breathing. I still think I should have broken his legs though. At the very least his ever-lovin' deleting fingers.

About several weeks ago, massive external hard drive crash and I lost all my video files I'd collected over the years. Avisynth scripts, gone. pictures, video, AMV's, school assignments, my checking account all down the drain.
So now I have to redo a lot of work for MEP tracks. :/
Oh, and while working on my Gateway track, I accidentally got ONE file offline. I re-linked that one file, only to have all the other ones go offline and they wouldn't go back online even after I had re-linked them several times.

That's awful!! I can't imagine having to worry about other people ruining my work on top of worrying about ME/my computer ruining it!!Amo-Chan wrote:Oh god...after 3 mo. of working on a video I opened up my trusty Vegas...and nothing was there.

Actually I can. About 10 years ago my father - who was messing around with my computer for some reason - went and reformatted the hard drive after something in the OS got screwed up beyond what he thought was salvaging. I lost years of work: irreplaceable writing, artwork, correspondence, pictures, college papers - you name it. I was so beyond upset that I never even yelled or screamed or threw furniture through windows.
Nothing like coming home and hearing "Oh, yeah, Lauren? You're computer got messed up so I had to reformat it" to turn your thoughts to patricide. To this day I suspect that's why he doesn't let me work on his computers - he thinks I'll find some excuse to reformat HIS hard drive.
