when did u first watch anime?

The first anime I ever saw was Nausicaa in the first grade. I remember thinking somthing to the effect, 'this is way better then that Disney shit.'

I think it was either renting akira about 10 years ago, but I think robotech was on tv for a short time before that, but its too long ago to remember -_- After that I saw a few on Sci-Fi channel (Vamp D, Iria, Lensman?, Robot carnival) and rented ones like Ghost, Ninja scroll.

I didn't know about all the tv series animes until about 2 years, only ago, and now I'm a addict, and I think I need another hit :D

I am ashamed to admit my first anime was Dragonball Z. Obviously, I don't watch that any more though ^^. Once I saw Trigun DBZ just seemed sort of... lame, and boring. Trigun opened my eyes to the wonderful world of subbed anime ^^.

I believe the first anime I watched was Ronin Warriors. That was about 8 years ago. Back then all that was on TV was Ronin Warriors, Voltron and Sailor Moon. The only thing that really bugged me about Ronin Warriors was their stupidly large sideburns. -_-
