Alright, this topic is starting to get out of hand, so I'm locking it and providing this summary post.

The keys to becoming more well-known and paid-attention-to is a) quality and b) consistency.

As Beowulf said, if you are able to consistently create entertaining videos, people will eventually notice and you will gain a following as people will start to associate your name/studio with entertaining videos.

If you feel you are not gaining recognition fast enough, pimp yourself out. Do lots of opinion exchanges, frequent amv chatrooms and forums and spread the word there, distribute your videos as much as possible, etc. Basically just do things to try and gain a wider audience. You may earn a certain amount of enmity if you come on too strong, but if you actually do put out entertaining videos, the negative feelings will probably not last too long.
