Your right about the "noobs" the post up their links to their AMVs(though I dont like calling anyone a noob). Though JudgeHolden and JubJub and a few others may cyber-punch you in the nose for calling them one cause I know they put their AMV links in their journals for each release, and there's nothing wrong with that.

But back to the subject that started this: I still think Rookie of the Year should be done away with. Too many new editors per year and honestly there's no way to accurately judge who's the best because that's WAY too many AMVs to watch between all the creators.

Actually, I'm more baffled by the nearly unknown site members who only have to put AKROSS in their announcment thread to have it swarmed by the masses. But that's just me. : /

Yeah the attention from Akross is amazing BUT I can understand it, because it seems like a LOT of people attended it or heard about the AMVs from attendies.

As for the IRC comment all I said was there are cliques I dont recall ever naming names, so I'm not sure why the word IRC provoked so many negative responses like I was personally attacking anyone. You know I wuv ya Jen! (And I'm in the middle of reworking that Tragedy AMV for you btw, it WILL be finished!....Eventually)

I disagree with the comment that being in IRC or having an IRC-clique is the reason for rookies being popular. For example, kisanzi hardly ever goes in there, only during times of RDS radio and such.
