I currently only have two avatars, both are Hiei and Kurama from YYH which I designed myself (and my nephew scanned for me!). The one I'm using now is based on the Yin Yang symbol, the dragon representing Hiei and the White fox representing Kurama. I've been meaning to work on a new one but have been too lazy to make time ...

I wonder if anyone remembers this one:

This was actually my first-ever avatar on the .org around May 2003. It's a symbol for "Discipline", used as the logo of Robert Fripp's guitar seminar. It's somewhat of a vague stylization of an enneagram.
I remember it...

Current avatar is an image from Kiyohiko Azuma's 'Yotsubato' manga; most of my previous avatars were shojo guys lifting up shojo girls with pink backgrounds (I actually managed three different pictures on this theme without repeating, and would like to find more some day). Even beforer than that, I had a Lain avatar that was pretty generic.

My current avatar is a cross between a crop of this artwork that my wife drew for me and an original video created by Koop possibly his greatest video ever.

Generally I always stick to custom avatars, with the bunny theme, mainly due to it being my nickname back when I was a firefighter.

I mostly identify posts by avatar and I love to see an old "face" that I havn't seen in a while.

I like to always have the same avatar, I don't know why. It is a drawing by Rose4Emily that I borrowed (with his permision) because It embodies the immage I like to project. Though I am not a popular editor, I like to think that I am a respectable and reasonably knowlegable forum goer and that people value my oppinions, hence the somewhat somber picture.

Same here. Even though it's completely baseless find myself imagining that the members look like their avatars.

We're talking about a penguin right? :D
Somehow I've never associated penguins with somber, although I have indeed appreciated your inputs quite a bit, so at least you're 50% right.

WHAT? You mean you don't actually look like a bunny samurai? :P

I forgot to add:
Risk one, your avatar is awesome.

Arigatomya, I guess you aren't motivated very often because all the others are familiar. :D

For some inexplicable reason, one of my favorite avatars has always been Oldwrench's.

Good point. Hence my somewhat distinguished-looking (for a pinguin) avatar.
