No, don't close the thread... As much as I doubt that anyone can confidentally understand everything there is to understand about Evangelion, they're more than welcome to try, and Eva Monkey obviously isn't just "shitting" us.
Anyway, thanks for the reply. I guess I'll have to accept that theory eventually. The only thing I don't like about it is that Rei was created by accident. It d oesn't really make sense to me that you'd just get a human by accident in the middle of an expirement. So are you saying that Rei was produced by Lilith? It'd make more sense to me that Rei was created for a reason, Nerv easily had the capability to engineer a human for whatever purpose they had for her, presumably for the Third Impact.
One more thing, I really don't think Rei is albino. I'm willing to argue anyone on that point until my body is bloody and limp (or atleast my argument). Rei's hair is an extremely clear blue, not a hint of white what-so-ever. If you call her albino you might aswell declare anyone with any single aspect of a condition to have that condition. Furthermore, her eye's a certainly red, and traditionally, if I'm correct, it is pink rather than red eye color that is associated with albinism. Her skin is pale, but hardly anymore than a lot of people's skin who are certainly not albino. White skin doesn't really imply anything since that's a comon trait. If Anno, Sadamoto, and the rest wanted Rei to be an albino it could have very easily been done. Plenty of characters have white hair, it's not like it would have been hard to do, or they even could have given her blue-white/white-blue hair like Griffith from Berserk, but instead her hair is as blue as the sky. All I'm trying to say is that there's truly no reason to assume Rei to have the albino condition.

Take a picture of Yui Ikari. load it into photoshop or whatever picture editing program you have. Invert it. Boom, you've got rei. The common nomenclature (represented in cartoons, of course) is that those who are clones have 'inverted' genes, which would cause the inverted hair and eye colors.
As to albinism? She came out of a vat of LCL, so she probably wasn't exposed to sunlight much.... ya think? God, this is all common sense here, people.

Yes, but if you invert Lilith you sure as hell won't get Evangelion 01...Nestorath69 wrote:Take a picture of Yui Ikari. load it into photoshop or whatever picture editing program you have. Invert it. I do hope you realise that a good chunk of EVA is personal interpretation. Sure, there's probably a true meaning to it all, but unless you are a very good personal friend of Anno, I doubt you would know everything about Evangelion. It's impossible.
Example, tell me who killed Kaji? Or what did Gendo say to Ritsuko right before he shot her in The End of Evvangelion?
You can't know everything about EVA, so stop attention whoring. The best you can do is to discuss it with others and work out a plausible theory for what might be the truth, but that doesn't really work out well when you tell others to shut up because they're stealing your glory now does it?
My guess is that you finally got what the end ment, and you automatically assumed you now know everything of evangelion. Well guess what, you don't, you can't, and if you would, you'd be an obsessed freak that invests way to much time into Evangelion.
That is all.

i agree with Mr Scribble. eva is something that one can only ever truely understand by thier own interpretation, not just by throwing questions at eva gurus. for example, my interpretation of eva has nothing to do with lilith, angels, second impact or anything els thats factual. alot of eva guru's probaly live by theys things as central to truths in eva

What was the point of that comment? You're contradicting what you said about it being impossible when you say that. Don't knock people that invest time in Evangelion just for sport.MrScribble wrote: if you would, you'd be an obsessed freak that invests way to much time into Evangelion.
But I most certainly agree that a huge chunk of Evangelion is personal interpretation, and that's why it seems quite impossible for someone to understand it all without fault, but it's stil possible. What's wrong with Eva Monkey trying to help people who have questions they want answered?
