Updated Beta Time... Again: Link

Good news on the motion front. I tried out some light motion and although it looked bad in Premiere, after export I could detect no quality loss. So kudos to me for my brilliant solution to a problem that didn't even exist.

Anyway, I've added a pan at 0:52 and a zoom 0:56. I've also taken out the sliding bands, restoring two of the original fades and replacing the third with a push.

Coffee: cool beans. I like your new sliding transition at 0:26. It gives it a film reel/slideshow kinda look. And the pans worked out pretty well. :P

Well, here's my full-sized beta. At 1:22 it's one of the shorter segments on this project, but I've managed to cram in just about every pretty-looking flip, jump, and swing from Kaleido Star. There are scenes from every extravagant stage performance and story arc. As such, the end product is exuberantly shiny and runs at almost break-neck speed. Just the way I wanted it to. :D Anyway, tell me what you guys think.

Pen-pen, did you read my suggestion about the credits? Since that section of the music is actually part of my segment, do you want me to do a rough assembly of the idea just to flesh it out? I won't have any trouble giving the real compilation job to somebody more skilled with 3D animation than I am, but I thought that you might want to see a more concrete example of what I'm thinking.

Bum: good luck with finishing that segment. If you're still struggling with the storytelling, I might say that it's okay to ditch the storytelling aspect a little bit towards the end and focus on more stylistic things that'll make your segment stand out. [Any thoughts from Pen-pen?]

And, um, it'd be nice to hear from the project members who haven't posted in a while. xD

Army life decided it needed to get really busy with me. :(

But I am alive, and I still like my segment and my newer idea for it expressed however many thread pages back. What I've seen of betas so far are very nice, and I think I can de-sillyfy Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi enough to fit it into this project (seeing as most of my source will be the last 5-6 episodes, where the real plot starts). Well, some silliness, maybe, all those neat drum hits need some sort of wackiness to be set to them....:o

From an editing perspective I cant stand it. Hopefully by the time this mev's released I'l appreciate all this crap I'm going through to finish the damn thing. God I'm hungry

Ok, minor update from me. First off, I love your full beta Jasper, no complaints or suggestions from me. Secondly, I'm glad everyone else's segments are moving along and I am looking forward to seeing bum's. Lastly, I made a minor change to mine. The pan at 0:52 was changed from a horizontal pan to a vertical one, it feels a little better that way. Nothing else new.

Jasper-Isis: Love the beta, unbe-friken-lievable. The "down" shots are a nice complement to the color and happiness and you manage to keep the action going the whole time. The construction site scene is a wonderful addition to the segment. Everything comes together very nicely. At the end of this week I'll have some picky little details but I can't see any major problems at all.

Okay! And don't forget to say whether or not you want me to start drafting the credits. I just discovered a "secret" graphics design lab at school that could suit my needs really well. :D

Jasper-Isis: If you want to start playing around with stuff knock yourself out. It would definatly be nice to have some sort of visual for the ideas you've been suggesting.
