not to stir the pot buuuut
Shana is a VERY popular series, all the fanboys go googley eyed over "sexy shana lolli" :\ (girls like it too obviously)
AND if it wasn't a big seller it would never be released down under, as we only get popular series.... it has been released here.
new banzors in the making :p

It went on and on for 4 days until
everyone in the village agreed to disagree
They thought whats the point in going over this agian and again when
everything that can be said has already been said.
They new it will only go on and on.

The villagers gathered together to enjoy a wonderful feast.
They ate and drank and were very merry.
Once the feast was over, everyone shook hands and went their seperate ways.
The Kionon ran of into the sunset, the cunning bashar climed a nearby tree to take a nap,
the jaddzia burrowed back into the ground, the wise old drifting root drifted down the river,
and the beautiful songbird set on a branch and sang a beautiful melody.

The End

The End
I am a little disturbed by the absence of godix in this. Mostly because he'd be the guy who waited in the bush for everyone to leave or fall asleep and then shot everyone, running off into the sunset to catch that bastard Kionon too
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

Ya you seem to be the smart one that avoids getting shot.

Also I just want to say that after working with the AWA staff for several years on the hole judging thing I can say that out side of the aspect ratio issues with the vid I have to say that I liked it and had a feel of a good various vid with decent use of tech that I dont feel kills the vid. Unlike other editor that over tech their vids or use a new trick they learned in AE and use it over and over and over. Also im a huge fan of simple editing but I have seen that to be boring in some cases.

Oh and whats wrong with playing to the crowed, when did this hobby become soo "ME" and I dont care if the crowed likes it. Granted I tend to dislike most of the vids that the crowed goes nuts over cause they tend to like the vid cause of what source was used. But I always liked the editors who just wanted to make a vid to show to the crowed.

Nah, after awhile I just wander away. Trashing this video is like beating up on a crippled kid. For the first few days it's loads of fun and requires almost no effort but after awhile I get bored at just how easy it is and go looking for other people to torment.

Kionon wrote:If you were saying you knew you'd interrupt the discourse, then I think you made a wise decision.
Yes. I am not the best at keeping myself in check when my emotions are running high. I knew I would need time to collect my thoughts.
Kionon wrote:I am sure you are a wonderful person, I'm sure you're a good mother, and I'd be willing to lay odds you're a decent artist.
Lol. Not unless you consider customized My Little Pony versions of anime characters art. But I would like to think I'm a good mom. I try anyway. And I know my girl is a happy kid so something must be going right in that department. :)
Kionon wrote:It has, at times, seemed very strongly implied. I am not the only one who has thought so.
That seems to be an unfortunate side effect of the internet. When tone of voice is lost the true meaning of words can also be lost.
Kionon wrote:I believe my criticism has been constructive.
I think the only things that bothered me from your commentary in particular were what I percieved to be character digs.
Kionon wrote:You have to almost sit down with your decoder ring and think about what he's really saying to understand that couched in all that bile are nuggets of truth. They're not happy or shiny, but they're there. And you should listen to them.
It's extremely difficult to take someone who acts like that seriously. Then again, I don't deal with people like that on a daily basis.
Kionon wrote:Much of this, here, and in your announcement thread, stems from you not being very active in the community, I think. You don't seem to have adequate exposure to how we tend to communicate.
I can see your point in that. Honestly the only time I'm really in the forums at all is when I release a vid or if I'm trolling the opinion exchange. Lol. Probably somewhere near the equivilant of suddenly finding oneself in the midst of a close knit group of friends and not knowing that they had decided long ago that calling one a "shit" was some kind of odd compliment.
Kionon wrote:We have those individuals outside of this community too. We usually call them comedians.
Maybe it's because I'm 31 but I find it difficult to consider it funny.
Kionon wrote:You entered the game by posting the video to the org and announcing it on these forums, but I think, despite your years registered, you did not have a good grasp of the rules you were expected to play by.
I'd call that an understatement. But I did know that I shouldn't have mentioned my awards. The only reason I did so in the first place was to try and make an excuse for Bash's comment which I knew would have gotten me into trouble. In retrospect I probably should have left it be. Also I think another thing that threw me was that in all the times I've posted my vids none were jumped on like this one had been. It was a shock.
Kionon wrote:I'm not sure I buy that, but fair enough.
Seriously. :) Heck, I was making videos before there was an audience to show them to, other than my mom and sister. I have always made my vids because I wanted to see something done with a particular song. I have an Inu Yasha romance vid planned for the future. But I want to make it because I love them (Even if I was denied seeing them kiss in the anime *Grumbles*). And I chose the song "The Best Thing" because of one line in the song in particular, but also because I believed the song screamed InuKag. If I really wanted to pander to the crowd I'd force myslef to watch "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya" and make a video of that, but I refuse to because I couldn't even get past four episodes. Lol.
Kionon wrote:Okay, this does change some things. We were as harsh as we were on you partially because we believed you to have the technical skills to write such scripts. If you didn't know how, and needed help, that's cool. But don't blow off what we say when we point out the error.
But I wasn't blowing it off. I understood what bothered you, it's just that it didn't bother me. Maybe I'm just more laid back in the technical department.
Kionon wrote:I think, in the end, what has upset us the most in your reactions is your excuses.
What you're percieving as excuses are nothing more to me than explanations. Perhaps I just don't explain myself well.
Kionon wrote:admit you made an error
I did admit I made an error. Over and over again in fact. (<--meant only to explain, not antagonize) I just also happened to be not all that concerned about it.
Kionon wrote:Words are important. Different words mean different content. So how I said it is just as important as what I meant. To have said something else would have been to mean something else.
I quite agree. But as I've said previously, you also have to take into account that tone of voice is also important which makes things easy to misunderstand in text.
Kionon wrote:I respect the fact you made this in two days for Anime Boston. We even mentioned that. Our issue was why you did not spend the time to correct the issues between Boston and your org annoucement.
That was basicly because I was tired of the download requests from people who wanted to see it in a better quality than youtube. I got nearly 20 in one day once. It was driving me insane-----er.
Kionon wrote:It wasn't beating a dead horse as much as it was a key that we kept being able to use to unlock more doors.
Interresting analogy.
Kionon wrote:you did not provide well reasoned, epistemically justified rebuttals.
I honestly believed I had, but this just may be yet another example of people having different perceptions.
Kionon wrote:I wasn't demeaning you. Godix was, but that's his bag. You have to take him with a grain of salt. Well... more like the entire shaker.
*Snort* HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA
Kionon wrote:This is true, however, your excuses wouldn't work for me. They shouldn't be able to work for you.
Again, we're different people. What drive you up a wall may not even faze me.
Kionon wrote:when you became annoyed that we called you on that, you seemed to be saying, "well, the rules don't apply to me, I'm special."
Now please understand this is how I saw things and I am only explaining. It seemed, to me, that what many of you were saying was that your opinions were the only ones that mattered and that I was not allowed to speak lest I be chastised for it. I don't take anyone on this forum as the end all and be all masters of what I should or shouldn't do with my work. I will take suggestions and I will even change things if I wind up agreeing (The lipsynch for example). But since I am the creator, I should have the final say on what is done with my work without a call for my head on a platter.
Kionon wrote:You're going to ruin his reputation.
Hmmm. Lol. Maybe I should spread the news that he is now a fluffy bunny. Just kidding. *Runs*

You seem to be a much more reasonable person than I had originally thought and I am glad to have been proven wrong. :)
Autraya wrote:Shana is a VERY popular series, all the fanboys go googley eyed over "sexy shana lolli"
My belief that it was not popular was based on two things. Not once have I mentioned Shana to someone and not had them go "What's that?" and it has one of the lowest amount of AMVs made to it on the entire org. I think last I looked there were somewhere around only 30 videos that used only Shana.

*Snort* *snicker* PHHHTTT HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA. Oh--Oh my God--I can't breath. That is one of the funniest damn things I have read in ages.
