wow after seeing ep2 i have to admit that i find all the side girl characters strange o_O
i think like AIR I may end up liking the movie version of Clannad better as it will only focus on nagisa and the guy

Nah, I just found Fuuko Ibuki to be REALLY strange; she tends to get absent-minded quite of bit with all those floating star bubbles.

Now fun moments I found hilarious!

I think she fainted coz of the rain, anime characters tend to get feverish in the rain too easily and most likely all those monologues will be revealed towards the end, much like Ayu's in Kanon. They will all come together eventually I'm sure :/

But I LOVED the 2 'comparison' scenes for Tomoya. One is all high budget and epic, but what the spectator version sees kicked me out of my chair... LOL

All of them are also boobarific and that's NEVER bad in my book. [unless it's like Knight's of Ramune, where it looks like balloons taped to chests, NOT good, but these girls are meaty and that's always the way I like it, plump and juicy ala Mizuho Kazami]

But I'm definitely getting Kyon vibes from the hero. Hell, had they used the same Japanese voice or Crispin Freeman, it'd be a perfect fit

Finally it began.After Kanon 2006 and Air,I was expecting Clannad like crazy.Saw the first episode yesterday,downloading the second one now and all I can say is that I'm gonna love this series.Lovely design and animation,pretty girls and fun.For now,the Fujibayashi sisters got my attention although I guess the little one will only be a side character.
But 640x480 resolution - it seemed a little weird.I've grown accustomed to 704x396 and 640x360 for this type of series...

the 16:9 episodes will start airing on a different channel in Japan later.

I believe BS-i is handling the 16:9 so I'll wait for the raws for that channel to be released (think it'll be HD as well) because I agree that 4:3 doesn't suit KyoAni stuff. btw Clannad bread is selling in Japan to market the anime, since when do bread come in cans? At least there are none in Australia o_O

Anyway,why do I get the feeling that Clannad will be like Kanon?These monologues in the beginning and the scene of small Nagisa in the snow during the opening...

Well,who cares?It's KyoAni stuff so it'll be a great pleasure watching it!!

Its like both Air and Kanon. Air had monologues about the girl in the sky too rite?

Its just a key thing i guess.

Sad thing is.. before i started watching the show, i read spoilers on what happens in the game T__T hopefully the ending is somewhat different in the series.

Heh, somebody should invent a machine that makes you forget certain things. It could be usefull for situations like this.
For now, your only metod could be to hit your head into the wall repeatedly.:P
