A few years ago, Joe Croasdaile (Maboroshi Studios) was saying that with his Perfect Blue/Perfect Drug video, the bar had been placed out of reach for other editors.

Im only working with VirtualDup (Cut) and with Magix Video deluxe 2006/2007 to build my AMVs...

Perhaps, i should squezze more of the Video edit programm...

1. if youre looking for feedback its always easiest to just ask for it (like personally... pming someone, or just talking to them through aim) thats probably the fastest way you will get a response... OR you can offer yourself up for an opinion TRADE... most people are willing to get feedback if they are getting some themselves... (or look out for the free ops threads)

one thing is for sure, you will never get automatic feedback just for putting your videos on the site, the market is really flooded here, its easy to get lost amongst the hordes of people.

2. uh you sound like your programs are up to par to me O.o some of the best editors on this site use Magix programs...

and 3. the TRUE MEANING OF ANIMEMUSICVIDEOS.ORG is to catelogue every amv ever made, not to get feedback, all that stuff is an added bonus... so are the forums and community aspect.

in general it seems that the people who are complaining that the "bar is out of reach" are expecting to be insta-good, (or are thinking that others expect them to be insta-good) and dont realize that it takes time to work to get up to that level.

and its just that most of the people who seem insta-good dont post all their bad videos on this site (unlike me, and all my shitty old vids lmao)...

either way best thing to do is to set your own bar... and try new things...

each of my videos I tried something new, even if it was just how i was editing (trying to edit with VOBs VS. AVI files, or rotoscoping, or masking <-- stuff im really new at)

Well, I suppose that is true. I shouldn't worry about other people, and I should just make amvs that I deep to be satisfactory, but it's hard, ya know? I'll just have to do my best. *takes out some pom poms and dances around like sumomo* XD

This so called bar is set so high right here on the org, that it causes low self esteem, depression and suicidal tendencies that might lead to death.
