I think if nothing good gets submitted, everyone else that does enter will fill it with crap by default. Not that many audiances can tell what's good and what's crap anyways (for proof look to youtube).godix wrote:So, the lesson of all of this is that AX isn't worth submitting good videos too so we should just flood them with crap we don't give a damn about?

Actually, I was just pointing out strange wording in their contest submission forms that has been there since at least a year ago.Corran wrote: - Video coding methods Trythil mentioned above.

(If you want to hear about AX's video preparation methods, talk to AbsoluteDestiny for the full, horrifying scoop.)
Talk about wasting years of your life...Evanescence songs...I and my co-creator put a lot of hard hard hard work into this video over the span of YEARS. It's devistating that it will not even have the chance to be judged.

You mean they still deinterlace every video, whether or not it's interlaced?trythil wrote:(If you want to hear about AX's video preparation methods, talk to AbsoluteDestiny for the full, horrifying scoop.)
"If someone feels the need to 'express' himself or herself with a huge graphical 'singature' that has nothing to do with anything, that person should reevaluate his or her reasons for needing said form of expression, possibly with the help of a licensed mental health practitioner."

To be honest I'm kinda glad they DQ'd it cuz frankly I don't like where the genre is going. Rather than create funny situations or jokes, suberunker just throws out random visual gags.Corran wrote:Scintilla wrote:outlawed wrote:- DQ'ing the video 'The Wedding Rings' because they considered it a 'fan story' and not a music video.

It was dumb when SNL did it years ago, it was lame when the internet picked it up, it was a sign of the colapse of society when they made a movie outta it. The fact that people can get a rise outta groups just by flashing the phrase somewhere doesn' say a whole lot for us as a group. Its like scientists flashing pictures of stimuli to a room of chimps and watching them jump up and react. Have we really fallen so f*cking far that all it takes to make an entire convention hall of people cheer is a f*cking picture? Screw you people, if anything hurts the AMV contest scene its not gonna be Con bull$#!+, its gonna be AMVs regressing into crappy random flash video trash.jbone wrote:Don't be dissin' Snakes on a Plane, man.TommyRude wrote:"Hey look, snakes on a plane!! (Kinda ironic, cuz I used to say how cool it would be if there were more flash style AMVs.....this is NOT what I meant.)
