Would you continue a amv if someone else had did the idea?

The only weird compulsion I have in regards to this is if I find the song through an AMV or other video project (one that was shown at my college video awards show comes to mind) will I not attempt to make a video to that song. I just don't feel too great about that, but I wouldn't mind seeing other peoples' videos to the same song, so it really just applies to my own editing.

Personally, I check to see if other have used song and anime together and if it's been done....no matter how crappy, I won't touch it. The studio we originated from had very strong feelings in that area. So it's just my personal preference.
However, just because I wouldn't do it doesn't mean a thing. Like any editing project, if you feel strongly about it, go for it.
