My eyes exploded near ep 10-11 of Please Teacher...

[makes sense don't it ^_^]

Saber Marionette J did it... [and nobody had to be killed, now THAT'S what I call good a director]

Fushigi Yuugi [like the previous person said, after 50+ eps, you DON'T want to see some people die...]

Tenchi Universe TV [almost] did it when Ryoko "flew off" toward the end...

I don't think a series shorter than 3 eps ever got me teary... [problem is that in such a short time span, how could you grow "attached" to any character?]

I wonder if Please Twins will do the same for me? The series seems to be getting MUCH more serious nowadays...

I didn't cry nonstop!!! just for a little while each day . And I didn't cry waterfalls. And I didn't look any different, just the cute girl I always looked like. You guys took it to serious. I should have said I was sad for about three days.

Hey! That's the great thing about anime. Sometimes it's better and more true than you think. You know what I mean?

When I watch "Neon Genesis Evangelion", I just get pissed at Gendou. If I were in Shinji's shoes, I would've blown Tokyo-3 to kingdom come in Episode 19. Actually, on a side note, I'm co-authoring a fanfic in which Shinji gets a pair.

The same thing happened when I went with a couple friends to see "We Were Soldiers". My "friends" I went to see it with were both frosted flakes, one of which was in the National Guard, but he was a pacifist! Anyway, while the female "friend" was cringing at the loss of life, I was clenching my fists, muttering under my breath "Yeah, kill the red bastards!" By the time the Huey gunship comes from behind, and mows the rest of the Viet Cong down, I was about ready to give a standing ovation. I should've checked if I had any B-cells (Blue Gender reference).

When we left the theater, I had basically scared the shit out of those two.

Plenty of animes can get me teary, a few video games can too. Like somene else said it's a story being told and when something sad/emotional happens it's kind of intended to possibly cause you to cry.

I've never seen Battle Athletes so I wouldn't know. But I do cry sometimes when I watch certain anime. Hell, I even almost cry at some parts during books.

I haven't seen a sad anime for ages...
Haven't really had a chance to get into one for a long time even.
Kenshin made me cry  .. it's just ssoooooooo sad....

Has anyone Seen Kanon, that makes me cry just thinking about it, and Saikano (she the ultimate weapon).. Theres a point in that at the end of the 10th ep that says if you want want to pretend to have a series stop here cause it only gets worse from this point on.
Having found the last 2 eps so bad the I couldn't watch the last 3 until I got one of my mates to watch it with me.. (around others I never show emoutions)

so yer, would saying its taking it too serouisly because thats what its written for. To bring out emoutions which is kinda entertaining.
