If we submitted to Otaku Video's site before the deadline....but haven't gotten a confirmation email.....should we breathe easy or commit hari kari now?

Don't worry about it...for ACen we got our e-mails like a week prior to con. I'd imagine if you don't break some rules, you're fine for now...although you're free to commit Hari Kari for fun :-P

And as a women, I would have to stab myself in the throat I believe...I wonder if that hurts less than eviscerating myself....probably not.....

With prescreenings beginning just one short week away, it may be easier to wait and ask those who attend (I'll be at all three) if your video got shown. Right now Quu (at least according to his LJ) is being buried alive by the flood of videos for both Otakon (which need to be encoded and put out to prescreening tapes over the next three weeks) and Fanime (which need to be whatever the hell they do'ed in exactly three weeks), so sending emails may not exactly be the guy's priority.

Log in to your Otaku Video account; check the video status. Ideally it should read, "Tested and Accepted".

And then, down at the bottom of the page, under Contest Submissions, the status line should read, "Accepted".
