yup thats the one ... i watched that and a few others ... but thats because my grade 11 english/grade 12 writers craft teacher is a big simpsons fan

... we also watched a rape scene re-enacted with barbies ... it was part of somone's law project... and god it was funny ... some 7 foot black guy did barbies voice while a 4'8" philopeno girl did ken ... god it was funny, and in a very disturbing way too ... barbi seemed to like the rape a little too much ...

You lucky bastards, gettin to watch anime in school!! Fuckin hell, here in australia, its almost socially undesirable to be an anime lover. The sterotype image for an anime fan here in Australia is: Loser, ugly, loser, boring, loser, dingle, loser, still lives with parents, loser, has no life, loser, is childish. Its not fucking fair, why do I have to live in a country that has a minimal anime following and NO MAJOR ANIME OR AMV CONVENTIONS!!

You're correct. It's a shame that's how it is, but it was the same way here in the states at one time. It takes time and I know it sounds bad, but if you want it to get better...help out...introduce anime to more friends, buy products, etc. I showed my friends my favorite shows and they in turn did the same thing and I'd say indirectly, a good 40 - 50 people have seen these shows from that spark.

and any time you stereotype any thing ... no matter how true it is you will always have the few exceptional groups of individuals who go against tha tstereotype ... theyre usualy too large to ignore and too small to be seriously considered as a different type of people ... or somethign like that. And yea, i guess i'm one of those, kid with an italian background who grew up in a painfully homogeneus neigborhood. Yet i don't like dance music and generic "souped up" cars with trash can muffelers. I listen to all kinds of weird shit, like anime and watching dueling card games, don't care for trivial shit and i hate TV and do not make clamis that i'm italian or being loyal to italy ... in my neigbor hood most people look at me like i'm the antichrist for my "non-conformity". Thank god my neigborhood is very sparse and i don't have to look at any one out here ... but i understand what your getting at ...

Watch it man. For starters, the stereotype for sheep fucking is NEW ZEALANDERS (BTW, I'm not saying they do, in fact i know they dont). And another thing, the australian accent is lazy, yet I posess it (side effect of having been here since i was 3

) but the Welsh accent is always bein mistaken for a scottish one. So is the Irish accent actually. Most people who make this mistake are Aussies....

I like it here, I've been here since i was 3, and seeing as I'm 20 now, its not like I had much of a say whether we immigrated over here anyway!
