oil pastels are nice. however, to me, they seem to be simply expensive crayons. regular pastel is like fragile charcoal and oil pastel is nice crayon.

Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha! "Magical Ninja Girl!".........nice.

Wow king, that's good for having only been drawing for a week...well, except for the whole drawing things sideways, that might start causing neck problems with people who want to look at your stuff....
You're lucky... I've decided to let you live to see the day when I will rule the world.

wow, i agree with cloud, thats REALLY good for drawing for a week. i'd post some of my original stuff from like 10 years ago, cept i might die of embarassment.
ari-chan, you make me jealous with your l33t shopping skills. ::bows down::
and S&S, a frame is a drawing methhod where you sketch very lightly a pseudo stickfigure before you begin drawing. its a pseudo stickfigure because it should be proportionate and it has joints drawn in and other goodies. you then draw over the frame (bodies, clothes, etc.). the frame is usually erased as you get farther in the drawing but i sometimes keep mine if its just a rough sketch. if you look at some of my rougher stuff, you might be able to see the remnants of a frame in the picture.

i personally learned from drawing comic book style, but any how-to-draw-anime book might be useful. there is a series that goes by that name actually. might be handy.
