Wooo, ricky won!
Gogo Italy!
He's on a school trip atm, he left yesterday evening and won't be back until this weekend. I don't have a link to his video, but if somebody does, I guess they could share for him, unless you're fine with waiting until the weekend.

good to know. And like I said, I'm over it. My anger/upsetness lasted all of like 5 minutes. This competition is may the best editor win, and he was the better editorgodix wrote:If anything, judging by source would favor you since since we just saw a Paprika vid a day or two ago.NS wrote:GG. Pretty pictures beats Stories. I'll keep it in mind :3. Good luck in the future matches.
Besides, as a judge, the quality has been far better than I expected. I thought I'd be picking which is the worst of two bad videos, but so far I've mostly had to decide which is the best of two good videos (although that'll change with the kio vs mirko match, no way anything good comes from that). So while 50% of the contestants are losers, they're losers with a nicely done video and it was tough to pick between the two vids. Nothing to be butthurt about really.

Truthfully I liked yours more, but only in the beginning. The beginning was very strong, but after that it just because pictures, and not a story for me. That's because I have not seen Beck, so any story there was was lost on me, but you can't assume all the judges have seen your source and will understand the story 8D
Heavy's story was not lost on me, but only because I have seen Paprika.

Yay, glad you found someoneBrad wrote:Well, ya know how I just made that post last night about the new alternates? Well, I'm changing it up again...
Seems like Ying (Pinkie Pie) doesn't actually have the free time he thought he did. So, I finally got in touch with Shui, and he is now officially in. He should be editing his video against Mamo (who did his like, last Sunday) sometime this weekend.
Still waiting on one vote for Match 6. Obviously, it's quite a close one.

The wait is killing me xD

I have seen neither Paprika or Beck, but I was able to follow along with the story fairly well in both videos. I really like how your video started off, but then I think it lost its strength as it went on (as Kiki mentioned). It was still a very good video, and you should be proud of it. I just preferred the approach Heavy took with the style of editing, and I thought his syncing was tighter for the most part (I really did enjoy those stills during the first 12 seconds of yours, though). Good job to both of you.NS wrote:good to know. And like I said, I'm over it. My anger/upsetness lasted all of like 5 minutes. .

Quite a few close matches in the competition so far...most videos have been very well done, and it hasn't been exactly easy to choose the winners so far. Also, if anyone is looking for critique on their videos, feel free to message/IM me and I can tell you why I voted the way I did.
