Yes and no.
I have AMV ideas every time I listen to a song. I've been doing this for so long, that's simply the way my mind operates. Most of these ideas I really just don't give a damn about enough to even move to the storyboarding phase. Actually, I need to be stronger. Almost all of these ideas never make it to the storyboarding phase. Typically if an idea movies to the storyboarding phase, it will then be worked on. A few I will lose immediately upon realising that what I have storyboarded doesn't exist in the original source and it is beyond my ability to reanimate the entire video. A few I will lose because the execution of the idea bores me once I actually see it come together. A few I will lose because I don't have the skills to complete the video. Someone else on the org could probably succeed, but for whatever reason, I cannot. Those that make it through that become videos that will be done, will be finished, but may take years to be completed. This is why I only average about one or two videos per year. The videos I complete are by no means new; they actually date to years prior to their release date.
So while I do get ideas all the time, It does not really become an issue, since 99.9% of ideas will fail almost immediately, and another .09% will fail after storyboarding for the reasons mentioned above. Thus my backlog at the moment, going all the way back to 2001 is only about eight videos.
