Yeah I see about 3 our ot 5 vids submitted nowadays seems to be xvid. It can be fine or absolutely terrible depending on what the editor used for source and what bitrate was used. Although those are easy to deal with if you need to make time cuts.

*sigh* OK I will put out a special 4:3 file... I´m not sure if I should submit...ChronoWraith wrote:ok, sorry that took longer than I expected. That resolution doesn't work so well so I'd have to add borders somewhere unless you'd prefer I resized it. It will still be 4:3. So let me know.
The video format submission makes me:

Hitler counts as PG-13, right? Maybe I'll have something after all. Pending non-failure/delete.

Well, if you do it so that the black regions are handled into the 4:3 format then you should be fine. You should not affect your aspect ratio at all. But Dvd playback is a bit finicky on resolutions for playback and some players are exceptionally picky on high bitrates. Besides what source are you using that is NOT 16:9 or 4:3? Even what you are decribing is not like a quirky widescreen which you see in some films but virtually never anime.-Bauzi- wrote:*sigh* OK I will put out a special 4:3 file... The submission sheet will unfortunately be offline for quite some time because I have to shut my server down during the winter break and I don't have a place at home where I can set it up. Please use the attachment version here: http://genericon.union.rpi.edu/vBulleti ... .php?t=151
