Oh, for Christ's sake....

Y'know, SOME of us actually enter AMV contests for reasons other than the prizes.... SOME of us don't even care if they get a (valuable) prize for winning or not. Jeez.

For the record, the guy from France that won his awards had his prizes sent to him, but when they got to France, they were returned to the convention, because the address the guy supplied was not specific enough. If that guy can live with his prizes being sent back, then you can most certainly live with your prizes being delayed for so long.

Yeah thats a BIG thing submit the CORRECT address... The France guy it costs us almost $200 to ship his prizes only to have them sent back to us. We were more upset at the fact that we sent his items and he couldnt recieve them, aditionally the post office in france pretty much DESTROYED everything that was in the box... We got a box taped together with broken pieces inside. Which is just crazy cause there was about 400 billion tons of padding in it. I tried contacting him for about 3 months straight but I didnt get a response.

So thats why its such a big plus to be able to file an insurance claim on your own behalf because if your prize doesnt arrive IN TACT you can file your claim and get the monetary value from the post office. Unfortunately because this particular piece was international and damaged while it was in france we lost the cost of shipping as well as the items because insurance only applies whle the items is within the US.

It's not about getting a prize or not, it's about people having their shit together and not blowing smoke up your ass for months while not actually doing anything. THAT'S what I was complaining about!
