Thanks for the help guys, but this doesn't help me with the technical side of things.
Do you guys show huffys or mpegs at showings?
What if your quality of the videos suck ass?
Should you have a disclaimer or just not show it at all? ><;

Be prepared, and ontime. I went to a `AMVs: Then and Now' panel at AN2k4 and it was a disaster that only William Milberry was able to "save". There we problems setting up the equipment, and well, a complete lack of material (older and newer amvs) or prepared discussion.
But problems always happen, so have contingencies. You could always pass around printouts of frames from an amv... "And this is the video at 0:53, and the next at 1:05...." kidding

And don't forget, if the volume gets really loud at some point, please warn the audience... even beowulf & wonka warned the audience about the mariline (;)) manson projects volume levels (although it never DID get very loud).Pwolf wrote:show the best quality you can and if it looks really bad, just say "sorry but the video quality isn't that great".

"Ummmm" is basically what I say half the time in normal conversations.Sephiroth wrote:avoid using "ummm....." if your running a pannel you have to sound like your in controle at all times. Basicly avoid anything that would make you sound nervous or pathedic.

Is that a butt in your avatar?jonmartensen wrote:Get up on stage an go completely apeshit. Start out with a bunch of jumping up and down and some screaming then move towards throwing stuff and the audience and finish it off by trying to eat the microphone.

And aside from the sarcasm of that statement, If I can get everything done on time, I will be throwing stuff at the audience.
