Introduction Board

... Lets make this subject.. whats the word I'm looking for.. yeah, uncomplicated

. So, we makin' a Introduce your self board or not? Once people introduce them selves, it is more likely for them to stay and post around knowing that they aren't "nobodys" or n00bz.

Introductions are a little out of place but not that commen. Also the tend to be civilized, which can be a nice break from the hostility directed at some of the new posters (even I have been guilty of this lately and I try to avoid it.)

The problem lies in the basic questions (How do I rip DVD's, watch videos, get videos, etc.) which flood the general forum. 4 of the current 6 most recent fall into this category. That's really kind of rediculous consitering all the guides stickies and other forums. I think a "New Users/questions" forum at the top might help with the problem, and would probably result in less flaming too.

We need an introduction forum so I can make a point to newcomers to make their profiles! It would be cool to know a little more background on the people who post on your topics...

So an introduction forum with copies of the "newbie" stickies (make/download/upload/avatars/sigs) Actually, is it possible for a thread to be in two forums simulatneously (kinda like moved threads, where it's just a pointer)?

The main problem I see is, who would be wanting to go into such a forum (besides new members that is)?

I would check it out...but how 'bout instead of having a whole forum dedicated to it, instead have a sticky? That would work sooo much better. Well, unless the n00bs didn't go to the right forum to see it...Hm. = /

I think it is a great idea for ppl to get to know ppl and noobs to get their questions answered with out bothering ppl who don't give a rats arse and aren't willing to help a G out
