One more thing...
It's very distasteful as far as most poetry goes, but it could structurally be consider poetic.
Kusoyaro: We don't need a leader. We need to SHUT UP. Make what you want to make, don't make you what you don't want to make. If neither of those applies to you, then you need to SHUT UP MORE.

(damn, where's Rozard's rolling icon when you need it!)
The phrase certainly does have good structure and meter, the music is... another story
I hope to god that's not good structure

On the other hand, perhaps there's cause to bring in this little music piece considering Flint's reference to other free-style... since it is, indeed, a 10-minute live on-stage improv piece; and good old Krim has a couple dozen CD's worth of this spontaneous, non-prepared, free-style music.
I think people are forgetting instrumental improv
That sort of makes me sad considering it's the sort of musical energy I look for, thus my attachment to certain types of music.
Oh, also, my favorite 'free style rap' is Captain Beefheart's 'Orange Claw Hammer', hailing all the way back to 1969. An emotional, spontaneous take on a 'seaman shanty', made up and recorded with a portable recorder as the great Cap'n walked through the bush, making it to the album unaltered; but I don't refer to it so much as music, but poetry, even if it's a lot more melodic than most rap.
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

hmm@real rappers...i dont think you know what a real rapper is...cause 50 Cent is one of those that is honest and comes straight from the heart like what you said above, if you had listened to his 'Get Rich or Die Trying' album (which i doubt you did) and payed any kind of attention to any of his lyrics, you would realize that.bum wrote: thiers something about rap that makes it the only style of music that can ever sound good when its doen freestyle. its (in the case of real rappers) blunt, honest and comes straight from the heart. its the absolute outcry of ones emotions put to a song
50 Cent is very talented in terms of his 'flow' aka how he presents his lyrics and the lyrics itself. The main reason he became so popular is becuase of his lyrics, dealing much with gansta, ghetto and street life which would appeal more to people who live that kind of lifestyle or familiar with that kind of lifestyle.
I Agree to these terms and am under 13 years of age

Linkin Park gets ass-loads of radio play, you can pick up any of their CDs at any place that even sells CDs, every teenie bopper knows who they are and act all hardcore at the mention of their name, yet they're NOT pop culture?bum wrote:i dont realy consider linkin park to be pop culture. i mean, what i hate is basicaly fake stuff like (all talentless barsards i named before) and shit like them. i hate people with no talent that get set up by some record company and go around growing an ego, pretending they have talent, thinking their god, and being like............... they realy piss the hell out of me
I think you're just a little confused. Just stick to saying you hate a particular singer/rapper/band and leave it at that.

Hell, it was freestyle that led to the Guess Who to come up with "American Women"
Black Lung (Aussie techno) also likes to throw in new stuff on the fly when performing.

Yeah, I'd love to see/hear Orgy do improv. I just picked the Blue Man Group because the very nature of their music is improv(or so it seems)
But yeah, Orgy doing improv is cool. The Family Values Tour '98 Dvd (which you can probably get for $10 or less by now) has three live performances by Orgy (the reason I bought the dvd, though getting Rammstein live was a nice bonus) and just before they play Stitches live, they do a really cool, kinda creepy improv bit that has vocals, drums and guitars, all improv.
I think the whole freestyle is faster/easier with rap is that, you just need a guy to string togther a bunch of rhyming words in quick succession. And maybe a another guy making a bunch of funny sounds with his mouth
And while i'm thinking about it, people who play rap music on their car stero with the volume and the bass turned all the way up
Yes, I like to point and laugh, because they now sound like a giant rolling cell phone on vibrate.
The Big O will KILL you!
