Original Xmen > XE
I still like XE though, but its hard for me to admit that, sometimes I watch it and it makes me cringe. ITS JUST SO DAMN CORNY. But that was mainly season 1, the next two seasons showed massive improvement in terms of actually HAVING a central plot instead of each stupid kid learning a stupid lesson in each stupid episode. I do hope Cnet gets the rights, I only watch TV late at night so it'd be nice to see the new season considering 3 ended with like, the BIGGEST CLIFFHANGER EVER. Its still on at 10:30 right?

The best effects are the ones you don't notice.

Yeah there fighting Apocalyps now BTW i like X-men Evolution too i think its cool (except for the first season) when they introduced the acolytes (Gambit,Pyro,Colossus,Sabertooth,Mastermind,Magneto although sabertooth and Magneto where on their already) is when i think it really picked up
Pyro is my favorite though with Gambit coming in at a close second

The series does try to make reference to the comics and the TV series that came before. I thought it was clever how they used the theme music from Fox X-Men animated series as the background for a scene by the pool in Evolution. And how they had Bobby stow away on the Blackbird when they went to London, so the battle took place using the 5 original X-Men. Most of my friends missed that reference.SSJVegita0609 wrote:Original Xmen > XE
And BTW: Has anyone seen the one shot episode Pride of the X-Men that was made back in the 80's? I saw that on the Marvel Action Universe and it was my first exposure to X-Men.

I liked the 90s x-men series better then Evolution because it was more true to the story line then Evolution.
****Spoilers if you actually care*****
I'll watch evolution from time to time just to see how they are doing things. but I initially didn't like how they had everyone situated. For instance, just like in the movie, I don't like Rogue not having the powers she stole from Ms Marvel. If someone actually concentrated and paid attention to her, she's never lay her hands on them. Anyway, I did like it when she flipped out after absorbing Raven's power. That was a good episode. Also when they were doing Rogue's dreams of Raven escaping with Nightcrawler.
It's also a bit humorous, because they are teens. And the dumb things they go through. Like Kitty wanting to learn how to drive, that episode was funny.
