I am going to try to recompile everything this weekend with all the visual studio service packs installed.(I think they were installed on the machine I compiled it on at school.) Also I will try to add 24-bit support. I hope that this will fix any errors you are getting. It doesn't work for me, I get this error message:
Adobe Premiere Pro.exe - Bad Image
The application or DLL C:\Program Files\Adobe\Premiere Pro\Plug-ins\IM-Avisynth.prm is not a valid Windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette.
On my machine AVS seems about the same speed as on 6/6.5. This means that using AVS to directly edit Vob files has "ok" speed but once the IVTC is stuck in there it is slow as hell. This is why you should use the MJPEG workaround as described in the guides.Man, this sucks. Editing mpeg2 with this shit is sooooooo slow!
Also one last note, I am the one who did the patching of the code, so if it doesn’t work don't go complaining to McKeed, AD, Bush, God or anyone else about it, just me.

VC6 is what I am using, but if you want to give it a shot go right ahead. I have so many papers due over the next two weeks I barely have time to post this message.A2E - would you like me to try compiling with VC6? That seemed to offer the best compatibility when we were messing around with updating the code originally.

Directly. I have noticed Ppro is a major resource hog (more than previous versions), so that might be part of the problem, but I've heard from others that using AVIsynth is still faster than editing mpeg2 directly.mpeg2 directly or with avisynth? cuase it seems the same. pro does use more recourses it seems (didn't work as well on my laptop then on my desktop, which is faster)

I tried that method a while ago, and I foudn it to be quite tedious to do so I never bothered...though I might end up doing it this time around. This is why you should use the MJPEG workaround as described in the guides.
What really sucks is that my DV500 does not support Premiere Pro! =( I might switch back to 6.0.

Shit. Um, i don't know whether this matters or not but is that plugin compiled for use with NTSC footage only? I'm in a PAL country, so...
Its a big ask, but would you be able to write a version that works with PAL footage? You said it was a resizing error, and I got to thinking, NTSC is 720*480, while PAL is 720*576. Would this cause the plugin not to work?

I knwo what you mean. I have Premiere 6.5 and Pinnacle already stated that they aren't going to make any new driver updates for our Pinnacle DV500 cards. They want to promote their own Studio8 software.TokyoU15 wrote:What really sucks is that my DV500 does not support Premiere Pro! =( I might switch back to 6.0.
So we pinnacle card users are stuck with Preimere 6.5 and lower (for me since I do alot of live action digital work).
