Newbies: How to make your first AMV

-_-' . The sad thing is, thats how pathetic the Adobe Premiere help section is. But seriously ppl, i'm ready to blow up my friggin computer!

There really isn't any specific question to ask. The whole program confused me. It wont let me import .avi files, I don't get how to cut and edit the clips, i don't get how to use the effects, I don't get anything! I guess what i'm asking is if you guys know a site with some info that could help me.

Ok, slowly i'm figuring this stuff out. I"ve narrowed it down to just two questions:
1. How do I overlap clips do one plays behind the other and such
2. How do I use those special effects?

This isnt quite aim but...

#2. Open aim go to - Window - Show Video Effects,
Then when there is a window (that should pop up) and you just drag the desired effect ONTO the actually yellow line of video and then preview...
Adobe doesn't show effects real time as that would really slow down slower computers, but everytime you wanna see one just go - Timeline - Preview.

#1. I have no idea what you're asking but I'm guessing transistions?

I'll talk to you on AIM if you tell me your AIM sn. I get how to use the effects but i don't know how to enable them. It says in the help section that once you fix the setting to click ok...but there is no ok! :-/

theres an AIM button under Ryans posts, use it to find out his AIM name.

yay! I'm acctually very slowly figuring it out. It still makes me angrey and I still think that Windows Movie Maker is so much easier to use but I have to force myself to learn Adobe cause I need those special effects. Even if it takes forever to get them right

im going crazy...my friend told me about this site today and now i joined but i have no clue how to do anything, is there a search or something? how do i find AMVs? how do i make AMVs? where can i see them?
