That is a not-so-little thing that I hate. Not even so much about working it, but the big stink that's being made, particularly this year. We're opening on Thanksgiving night this year and I've already had multiple customers get angry at me about it and chew me out about how it's taking employees away from their families, shame on retailers for forcing this on them, bla bla bla. No. It's the people who want to shop then. It's supply and demand. If customers didn't want to do it, businesses wouldn't be open. You wanna be mad at someone? Don't be mad at me. Be mad at them.

Black Friday isn't a holiday, it's the day after Thanksgiving (in America) where all the shops put on these crazy sales to boost profits just before the actual Holiday season.
Unfortunately consumers have been known to trample people to death (no really, look up the Wal*Mart incidents from a few years ago), fight over products and camp outside of stores weeks in advance just to get the sales... It's really sickening.
