I already said I was but I suppose I can post fashionably late on this, the eleventh page.

That's good :) Glad to see new editors taking interest.

I read in your profile that you're from boochsack, and none of your videos are available on the Org so I don't really know your technical-know-how. Just remember the requirements involve ripping DVDs, editing with DVD source, encoding to high quality, and uploading. As long as you know how to do that, you're good to go :)
Yes, I have dvds, and finally I'm learning how to rip them properly, thanks to this site's guides.. :)
Actually I have 9, but I'm getting 2-3 more in a couple days! So I guess I'm good to go!
This contest sounds interesting, and you never know how far I might go before getting beaten by one of the really good editors.. :P

Sorry for double-posting, but I have a question:
Do different dvds of the same anime series count as different sources?
Meaning, for example, Chrno Crusade is split in 5 dvds : Does this count as 5 different sources?

The Question has already been answered..

So all those DVDs have to be a different Anime or could one also chose like 3 or more Single DVD's of the same Anime?
As it stands at the moment, I don't think I will put restrictions on listing multiple volumes of the same series. I understand peoples concerns behind this, but I've had so many people tell me that they just do not have a lot of anime to use. So while I do understand that it makes it easier for people to cheat, I have to put a lot of this tournament on the honor system as it is anyway.

The thing is, when you're making your list, you really WANT to have a variety of things on there, because you DON'T know what kind of song you're going to get. You could list vol. 1-6 of a really action oriented anime, and get a song best suited for light-hearted comedy/sentimental or something. Now, granted, I know that even with a varied list that can happen anyway, but at least you're not pigeonholing yourself from the very beginning. Make sense?

But as far as the rule goes, if enough people step forward to say that they really just do not agree with the rule, I may be willing to compromise and say you can put a max of 3 volumes from one series into your list.

also..Chrono Crusade is actually split in 6 DVD's..

I'm sorry, I couldn't bother reading all 11 pages in order to see if it had already been answered..
Are you sure the 6th dvd is not a bonus?
I was going to buy it off here (or a better offer if I can find one), and I'm pretty sure it says it's split into 5discs, and also has details on which episodes are on which disk..

If I'm not mistaken, individually it's 6, but the thin pack is only 5. So you're both right.

so if you have the thin pack you have more episodes on 1 DVD? now THAT sounds unfair to me, lol. (not that I actually care xD)

I got 6 DVD's with 4 episodes on each one...so that are all 24 episodes.
