Not exactly what you are looking for but in Cromartie High School there is running gag of calling this fat kid a robot.

Mahoromatic is kind of a robot--she's automatic, at any rate.
Also, there's the robot Skuld creates to protect Belldandy in Ah! My Goddess. Banpei is his name, maybe? Or something quite like it.
There's a ridiculous episode in Happy Lesson where one of the mamas makes a "stand in" robot for the main character (which nobody seems to notice is a robot, hilarity ensues).
Galaxy Express has some nifty robots here and there.
