Specs don't matter. As long as you're working on cool shit, widescreen, fullscreen, 24, 30, HD, SD, who cares.

One more thing.

I want to remind you guys that you're not restricted in terms of what source you use. Meaning, you don't have to use anime whatsoever. In fact, I would encourage you to create something completely unique. Film something. Use photographs. Draw shit. Do something in 3D. Animate a character in AE or Flash or whatever. The point is, make cool shit. If you make it all yourself, you can use it in your reel :O
