Re: Welcome to the End (..Again)
I was going to remake the track anyway due to my harddrive crash, but to "earn" them back, I agree with Hagaren. Besides, I doubt the people who are already listed even made a beta and just sent their old betas. How is that "earning" them when it's something you've seen before anyway?[ AscendedFlame ] wrote:I've kept that in mind. But if that's the case then there should be no problem with you retaking the tracks you want, it's as simple as that. Even if you DIDN'T get kicked out I would have required most everyone to redo their tracks entirely anyway, so yes, I did completely waste your time. OR you can think about it as a learning experience, None of you would have edited to the track you chose before if you didn't like the song anyway. You all did take something away from this, a chance to improve your editing even if it was in the slightest bit, even if you did get kicked out.Hagaren Viper wrote:"Earn" them? So the hours we already put on our tracks doesn't qualify as "earning" them? We both made perfectly fine tracks, there is absolutely no reason to drop us, much less EVERYONE from the MEP just because you feel like it. It doesn't matter if your 'standards have increased' if that's the case, then talk with the people in the original MEP, review their tracks and give them feedback on what you want to see. You've just wasted everyone who was working on this MEP's time, and you obviously could care less. That just isn't professional at all.[ AscendedFlame ] wrote: Like I said, you guys have to earn your tracks back.
Also, keep in mind that while your standards may have increased, the majority of our skills have also increased as well.
I bet I can just give you the beta I had before and I'd get the track. I don't see how that's supporting anything you've just said.

I believe Vivaldi is asking pror wav files of each tracks to be provided for editing, like you did with the mp3s?[ AscendedFlame ] wrote:Vivaldi wrote:Can there be wavs for the individual tracks?

This, though I am able to open it in my editor, so don't go to too much trouble. Just a thought.Hagaren Viper wrote:I believe Vivaldi is asking pror wav files of each tracks to be provided for editing, like you did with the mp3s?[ AscendedFlame ] wrote:Vivaldi wrote:Can there be wavs for the individual tracks?

Yeah I could, but I'm not gonna reupload ALL the tracks in wav. If you still want a Wav track I'll be happy to make you one.Vivaldi wrote:This, though I am able to open it in my editor, so don't go to too much trouble. Just a thought.
They didn't lose their tracks because eitherKazemon15 wrote:I doubt the people who are already listed even made a beta and just sent their old betas. How is that "earning" them when it's something you've seen before anyway?
#1. Their track is still good now even with risen standards.
,#2. I know from personal experience that they've progressed enough to still be able to keep their track
Or #3. They've remade a beta or sent in a new beta that surpasses their old track
Not likely, I still have all of everyones old betas.Kazemon15 wrote: I bet I can just give you the beta I had before and I'd get the track. I don't see how that's supporting anything you've just said.

How can someone remake a track that's better than the track they've been working on in less than a day?
I remember last time we chatted on aim, you still liked my track and said nothing about how to improve it.
Well, if Hagaren is not going to rejoin, then I'm not gonna rejoin. I only joined because of him anyway. Thanks for the experience, though. I guess I'll just upload my track on the org as rejected or something.

And I'm just saying that's SOME of the reasons why they MIGHT have been able to keep their track, I've already mentioned this on the other thread.
It's mean, it's not fair, and I know I probably wasted a whole 2 weeks of all of your lives forever, but it just IS. MEPs fail all the time and so many people lose their tracks for a MEP that's never gonna happen, I know it's happened to me. My main purpose here isn't to please any of you, it's to make this project the best I can. I'm sick of arguing with you guys, You either try and rejoin or you don't. I'd be lying if I said I didn't care if you tried to take your track back, but it's just the way it is.

Re: Welcome to the End (..Again)
That's the thing. Those tracks were obviously not remade in one day. It means that either blaze kept close contact with them or they just kept going at their tracks themselves. Basically, we were pretty much blind sided by this because we thought our tracks were alright and weren't told otherwise at all.Kazemon15 wrote:=/[ AscendedFlame ] wrote: They didn't lose their tracks because either

Whatever though, I could sit around and make an effectsy track or something, but I dont understand "Not good enough" without any other type of feedback.
Blaze, you're my friend and all, but yea, I dont want to waste the effort to make something because I think that your way of coordinating this MEP is just way off. You're not going to get 'ZOMG! AMAZING' tracks for everything and you shouldn't expect that either. If something is well edited, you should accept it. People are going to have different styles that are going to cater to different audiences. The way one person's track is edited effects how the track after it is received. Sometimes a simple track will give the track after it more impact. As a coordinator, I think you took the wrong route in coordinating this and that's why I'm not going to remake my track or try out again. Sorry blaze.

Re: Welcome to the End (..Again)
Honestly, I can't be worried about making another track from scratch, as I have other tracks with looming deadlines. So yeah, I 'drop'. Good luck.
