Ok, did you know what kind of video codec inside of .avi or others contain format? if not get this then install it of course after that go on the video you want to edit and right click go in gspot and it will show up the info you need to know.

So if the video containing DivX/Xvid get it here also I know that will works fine to me ^^;; be sure the wmm are not stuff much of video inside sometime it does that too ^^;; Tell me more if you got crashing again

convert your divx or w/e to huffyuv with virtualdubmod. edit with that.

BJR yeah still on some point of view he got right though if you have virtualdubmod you can but if not try what I say on my previous post. It's up to you if you want program of vdubmod to work with it but much lot of work to what I say "_", only my suggestion to you.

during my very brief experience with WMM, i edited with xvid footage. i most specifically recall these 2 problems:

* Frames being displayed out of order.
* Smearing, blocking, and other types of video artifacts.

Exactly, just because it hasn't happened to you (yet) doesn't mean it won't. It used to happen all the time to me back when I used wmm. :/ But I got over being a lazy shit and just did as the guides said. the guides wouldn't lie to you for the hell of it.

No. The worst time I ever had on WMM was during my 2nd video, everytime I switched out of the timeline view it crashed. I was using like 20 meg fansubs then though. It's stayed pretty tolerable with every single vid I've done though.
