I just do "Fast Recompress" with the Morgan Mulitmedia MJPEG set at around 1 quality. Well, I've never done it, but that's what I'm going to do. Anyways, choose "Fast Recompress" and not "Full Processing Mode". That should make the compression time less, and use 1- quality on the MM MJPEG or the PicVideo version. It should decrease the filesize (Even at 720x480 res) and it will speed up the conversion process.Aetherfukz wrote:Hmm... well CSS isn't the worst thing ever. I mean, I don't really care if I rip with 10x or only 2x, it never takes much more than 10 minutes anyway. But what's making me matters is converting the avs files into MJPEGs. Today, when I got up (real late) I started the PC, and let VirtualDub convert 3 DVDs when I'm at work. But the estimated time was about 4 hours per DVD, so horrible 12 hours! That mean, the conversion won't even be finished when I come home
So, is it normal to take so long for encoding? I thought that the MJPEG codec is really fast...
Ripping without DeCSS (NGE) ^^
