Wow. Some AMV's have actually achived a cult status akin to some movies. I can understand easter eggs but the lengths some people go to find small insignificant errors in movies is astounding (OMG in the last shot from this camera angle there were 3 coffe cups in the far background to the right, not 2!) I don't know how to interpert that but I definatly didn't see it coming.

(Note: not trying to critisize anyone here, just comenting on trends.

Sometimes. More likely to happen when you're using interlaced footage, I think. The solution is to check every one of your clips carefully. With practice you can learn to see these during playback. If it looks weird, but you can't see why, check it out on the timeline frame by frame.

When I try and watch my vid in vegas as it goes from scene to scene it has a tendancy to freeze, if only for a split second (or even half a second if there are effects involved), so I can't really tell if it is a frame or two off (I usually zoom in as far as I can and check the transition itself but I could still be missing a few). Is there some way to remedy this?

By "playback" I meant a rendered clip playing through a media player, or a DVD player, etc. You're right: the preview window will not be able to keep up sometimes. (Although it is possible to improve preview playback by temporarily turning off all effects. There's a button to click on the preview window toolbar; can't remember which one it is.) You can always render a section to a file (or to RAM or to another track) and view it with all the effects in place.

If you suspect a certain spot has a problem, set the cursor nearby and use the alt-arrow keys (hold down Alt while pressing the left or right arrow key) to step one frame at a time across the region. The preview window will update at each step. If there's a crossfade or other transition, you might need to move one clip out of the way and step to the end of the other one.

I don't recall a case where Vegas let a frame in at the end (or start). For me it's always been "operator error", especially with interlaced footage. I suspect that the problems people have with Movie Maker are from depending too much on the WMM scene cutter. Better to cut them manually or at least check the scenes individually.

I take it you're referring to the really expensive R2s, since Naruto hasn't been licensed in R1 yet?

Yeah.

I just really like Mkeeds vids. Such great quality. I'm even thinking of seeing if I could get a good deal on R2 Naruto DVD's.
