I've always thought that
Verve Pipe~Bittersweet Symphony+Cowboy Bebop=Great AMV

Or, if you want to make an adrenaline AMV, just use
KoRn~Lets Get This Party Started

What's with the question?

See also: 7 Seconds, "99 Red Balloons" from Scream Real Loud... LIVE!.

Seriously, an AMV set to hardcore wouldn't be half bad, now would it? Listen to the last two Refused albums (The Shape of Punk to Come and Songs to Fan the Flames of Discontent) and see if anything strikes your fancy.

I've also always matched up anime and emo, ie. the Weezer/Cowboy Bebop pairing or rogueintellect's lostprophets/FLCL one (sorry if you don't consider lostprophets emo).

And I'll PayPal $5 to anyone who can sucessfully make an AMV with a Sweep The Leg Johnny song.

The originals ("99 Red Ballons" and "99 Luftballons") were recorded by Nena. Together, they've been covered by over 50 bands, at least.

Thank You flint_the_dwarf, it's what I was saying.

Don't need to hear over 50 versions of the same song, the first two originals by Nena are great.

Plus I gave the guy/girl a long list, it's more than enough I'd say.

Definitly good for getting hyped, especially when you're watching the downhill specialist in his Trueno drift through the mountain pass :D

Put on some Lil' Jon and LET'S GET CRUNK IN THIS!!!! No, actually, might I suggest Finntroll? Then we could all get our polka metal on...or some Prodigy songs like "Firestarter" or "Smack My Bitch Up". That usually puts me in a pretty silly/hyper mood...anything by them might be helpful. Wasn't one of those songs in Charlie's Angels Full Throttle? Anyways, sorry that I can't think of more right now, but seeing as how so many people actually made HELPFUL suggestions I won't cry about it. Good luck!

Depends on the mood and what I feel like listening to.

For example:

Bad mood: death metal, thrash
Good mood: anything on the playlist
the "i don't really give a fuck" mood: anything on the playlist

Other than that, it's all metal and techno here
