Wow sorry lol I thought Mediainfo. with the period was an abbreviation for something I was to look for under the video tab in DGindex, didn't relaize it was a name
. Thanks for clearing that up though, it will allow me to start on some of my other projects now!

MPEG Video (Version 2) means MPEG-2 Video.
I suggest changing the output to Text or HTML in the options, though, it gives out much more info.

Like this?

While I see MPEG as the format how does that help me decide which codec to use out of the UT Video Codec RGB vs RGBA / YUV420 vs YUV422? I am suppose to be able to find the original format so I know what to export my project as right?

Oh wait, right at where I cut if off, it says Color Space: YUV and underneath that Chroma subsampling 4:2:0 so does that mean i am to use YUV 420? Will move, or all, videos be labeled like this?
Sorry for the double post I can't seem to find an edit button.

Yes, color space and subsampling tell you what to go with.

I guess that it isn't always right? Especially when it comes to framerates.

I don't think, no... perhaps don't "trust" the resolution it says in anime because even though .ts and .m2ts will be 1440x1080 or 1920x1080, the content is generally upscaled to that, so you should downscale back to the actual detail, but that's kind of a more difficult thing since you'll have to check for yourself if the source looks detailed or not...
And yes, as Hatt says, framerate. If the video is cfr it's fine, but with vfr, you should not trust it at all.
