Re: A.M.V Interface
I'm very aware that it's not, but commenting on peoples profile is just going to lead to spam and other stupid things and most likely fairly hard to implement on the site, I'm sorry, I'm rather content with the site. Also I normally don't do grammar nazi stuff unless I'm being sarcastic, but its hear* bro, not a place.Kaream wrote:
Facebook is nothing like this o.o? What the hell? And why don't you think of a better way to make this site better, rather than putting down every idea you here.
Lastly, to this I forgot to respond to.
This will just end up leading to a flame war constantly, have you seen half the comments people leave on qc's it's usually worse than youtube, and that would totally kill the point of anonymous quick comments.Kaream wrote:Maybe we can make video comments like a drop down list and other's can simply reply to them.

Re: A.M.V Interface
So you're telling me we are gonna be stuck with the same interface for about another 10 years?

Too compressed? I couldn't even fit the entire menu in this picture...Kaream wrote:So let me start off with the interface, is it me or does it feel too compressed?

Most likely not, you've stated that in 5 years so much has changed right? So why wouldn't that happen again in 5-10 years? I'm sure there are going to many different changes eventually but not such drastic ones, those are pretty much complete site altering changes you're suggesting. The last drastic site change I'm actually aware of is the ability to stream videos rather than download them.Kaream wrote:So you're telling me we are gonna be stuck with the same interface for about another 10 years?
I'm not totally sure but I think all the coders that do make site changes are all actual org users to begin with. ( again I don't know for sure. )

I was being sarcastic, but yeah. I've heard the coders (Org Users) want money to do some drastic changes. So really there is no chance for this site to make more improvements

Re: A.M.V Interface
You're mistaken.
The "coders (Org Users)" don't want money whoever told you that is grossly mistaken. I'm not really going to comment on the rest. But one thing I can say is that changes will and are being made. But this isn't a overnight process, as this will take a long time. Till then keep recommending things so they can be taken into account. But understand that some suggestions have extreme low probability of being explored.

I'm really glad to hear about that
I'm doing some research on somethings, so I'll try to be as helpful as possible.

Re: A.M.V Interface
i want money.
actually the administration is considering hiring programmers to rewrite the code for the site. the recent server move should cut costs, and hopefully we can garner some money from the savings to use to hire someone ... and keep the site running.
we've noticed the datedness of the layout, but right now our coders can only do so much at a time, redesigning the site layout/interface would take a large amount of time.
