Re: Little things you hate?
People complaining about no edit button when it would only take a small donation to an awesome site (or a PM to a mod if it's an important edit to be done).

I never noticed that when I had Donator Status about 2 or 3 years ago...guess I must have taken it for granted then. Well, was going to get my Donating Status on again since I rekindled activities, now that's just an added incentive.mirkosp wrote:People complaining about no edit button when it would only take a small donation to an awesome site (or a PM to a mod if it's an important edit to be done).

Re: Little things you hate?
not having a credit card.
not so much wanting the edit button for myself as for casuals that come here and think "this site expects you to pay for a goddamn edit button? what a moneyhungry scam"
not thinking that myself just imagining others thinking that.
when my thread gets derailed

I can respect that.
I hate crossroads that will affect the rest of your life, and you have to make a decision in a week. Argh.

People bitch about the "crappy" features that you get for your donation so they don't donate. But if they'd stop and think about it...with more donations we could roll out better features :/Jadecavy wrote:Seriously. $12 is nothing.mirkosp wrote:People complaining about no edit button when it would only take a small donation to an awesome site (or a PM to a mod if it's an important edit to be done).

To put it in perspective, SA is exponentially worse and they've been doing well for years.

Re: Little things you hate?
At the end of the day, free users won't get the edit button because it has been abused in the past, and that is why we need to trust the user; best thing we can rely our trust on through the system is donator status (and donators also abused of the edit button in the past as well, but we need to draw the line somewhere).
The only thing we could do would be a timed edit button for free users, which would allow them to edit for X hours after posting and that's it.
Also, SA is likely Something Awful.

Something Awful. The site that invented Let's Plays. $10 to get in, $10 to change your avatar, $10 to get unbanned.gote wrote:not knowing what SA is.
